TDOT Immigration
Workers employed by registered religious organizations in Canada may qualify for an LMIA-exempt work permit under code C50, while workers employed by registered charitable organizations may qualify under code C51. The organization’s non-profit, religious, or charitable status must be clearly established, and the worker’s role must align with the organization’s mandate. This pathway supports an important segment of Canada’s civil society.
We assess both the organization’s eligibility and the worker’s role to confirm whether C50 or C51 applies before the application is filed. We prepare the organization’s supporting documentation, draft the employer support letter, and compile the worker’s full application package. We advise on the Employer Compliance Fee and Offer of Employment requirements that apply under the International Mobility Program.
